سكرتيرة هدي شعراوي، رائدة تحرير المرأة وصديقتها ورفيقتها في المؤتمرات الدولية والداخلية، وهما أول من نزع الحجاب في مصر بعد عودتهما من مؤتمر الاتحاد النسائي الدولي الذي عقد في روما عام 1923. وأصبحت رئيسة للاتحاد النسائي الديمقراطي الدولي، ومقره في برلين. وأكملت دور هدي شعراوي في الاتحاد النسائي بعد وفاتها.
Secretary of Hoda Sharawi, the leader of the Egyptian Suffragette Movement. Together, they organized and attended women conventions in Egypt and abroad. They were the first women to remove their veil in public, after returning from a women’s convention in Rome in 1923.
She became the president of the International Democratic Women Union in Berlin and led the Egyptian Feminist Union after the death of Sharawi.
