His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received a group of servants from Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Montreal, Canada, at the Papal Residence in Cairo. They were accompanied by Fr. Peter Saad, priest of the same church. The group came to Egypt on a service mission and also to visit a number of ancient Egyptian archaeological sites, as well as historic Coptic monasteries and churches.

During the meeting, His Holiness praised the services they provided, which focused primarily on supporting people with special needs in the Diocese of Tahta and Juhayna. He also commended their visits to Egypt’s historical landmarks, which allowed them to learn more about the history of their homeland, as well as their visits to ancient monasteries and churches that carry a rich spiritual heritage rooted in the prayers of God’s saints.

Pope Tawadros also spoke to them about Egypt’s ancient history, its significance in various fields, and the unique character of its people. He noted that the members of the group had undoubtedly observed and experienced these qualities firsthand during their visit. His Holiness encouraged them to repeat the visit in the near future.
