منيرة ثابت هي اول كاتبة سياسية ورئيسة تحرير جريدة سياسية.
في عام 1933 حصلت على شهادة الليسانس من مدرسة الحقوق الفرنسية، لتصبح أول محامية مصرية تحصل على هذه الشهادة.
وقيدت في جدول المحامين أمام المحاكم المختلطة كأول محامية عربية، بدأت تعمل بالصحافة منذ عام 1926 ، واسست جريدتين باللغة الفرنسية، الأولي يومية والأخرى أسبوعية.
وكانت اول سيدة تنضم الي نقابة الصحفيين.

She became the first Arab female to register as a lawyer before the mixed courts. In 1926, she published a daily and a weekly newspaper in French, and was the first women to join the national syndicate of journalists.
