(1913 – 1998)
كاتبة وناقدة أدبية وأستاذة الادب، نشرت عائشة عبر الرحمن مؤلفاتها تحت اسم بنت الشاطئ. التحقت بجامعة القاهرة وحصلت على ليسانس الاداب قسم لغة عربية عام 1939، وحصلت على الدكتوراه عام 1950.
قامت بتأليف القصص الروائية والسير الذاتية )التراجم ( لنساء بيت النبوة.
وبالرغم من انها لم تكن تعتبر نفسها كاتبة نسوية، ال ان اعمالها كانت تعكس الأفكار النسوية.
Professor of literature, author and literary critic, Aisha Abdel Rahman published under the pen name Bint al-Shati "Daughter of the shore".
In 1939, Aisha received her BA in Arabic literature from Cairo University and her PhD in 1950. She wrote fiction as well as biographies of early Muslim women. Though she did not consider herself a feminist, her works reflected feminist themes.
