كانت لوسي هي المراسلة الصحفية الوحيدة التي حضرت مراسم تسليم سيناء بعد تحريرها في اوائل الثمانينات.
نالت العديد من الجوائز والشهادات ككاتبة ومترجمة ورمز ثقافي.
Celebrated writer, translator and journalist, Lucy Yaacoub wrote more than 120 books and translated many English classics.
Yacoub was the only female journalist who covered the official ceremony of the Sinai handover, after its liberation in the early eighties.
She received several awards as a writer, translator and cultural figure.
