زينب عزت هي من رائدات العمل الاجتماعي وكانت الامين العام لجمعية الهلال الأحمر والتي بدأت في التطوع للعمل بها وهي في الرابعة عشر من عمرها.
ترأست جمعيات إنقاذ الطفولة ورابطة الإصلح الاجتماعي، كذلك أنشئت وترأست جمعية الحنان للخدمة الاجتماعية وجمعية الأسر المنتجة ، لمساعدة السيدات المحتاجات ماديا، وذلك بتدريبهم على شتي الحرف التي تدر عليهم دخل، ومساعدتهم في تسويق منتجاتهن.
A pioneer social worker, Zeinab Ezzat was the secretary general of
the Egyptian Red Crescent, an organization she had started her
volunteer work with at the age of 14. She was president of Save the
Childhood Association and the Association of Social Reform. She
also founded and directed Al Hanan Association for Social Service
and the Productive Families Association, which was formedto train
jobless women with no income on various skills, and help them sell
their products.
